Southern California Concert Promoter Brian Murphy DEAD @ 70

His claim-to-fame was the CALIFORNIA JAM in 1974 essentially creating the arena rock category that has thrived for decades.  

Murphy promoted some of the biggest concerts in Southern California including AC/DC, Black Sabbath, the Eagles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many hundreds more.  

The concert industry has since consolidated and Murphy's company eventually landed at AEG.
