Former NY Mets Star Rusty Staub DEAD @ 73

Nine years with the Mets and a fan favorite who helped kids through his charities.  

He also was an accomplished gourmet chef, he opened two restaurants and was a wine expert. Over 24 seasons in the majors, he was a six-time All-Star, with 2,716 hits, 292 home runs and 1,466 RBIs. He was a part of the 1973 pennant winning Mets team, hitting four homers in the postseason.
