NASA astronaut Richard Gordon, DEAD @ 88

One of the Apollo 12 astronauts who circled the moon but never landed.  

After he concluded his NASA career in 1972, he then took on the role of executive vice president of the New Orleans Saints football team and from that position he went on to be an executive in energy and science enterprises.
