Jeremy Hutchinson, Lawyer, DEAD @ 102
The lawyer representing 'Lady Chatterley' has died. Jeremy Hutchinson helped change laws and attitudes on sex in Britain in 1960.
At the time, the explicit description of sex and its use of words were deemed unprintable. In the courtroom a prosecution lawyer infamously asked in court whether it was "a book that you would ... wish your wife or your servants to read?"
Feeling that attitude was out of touch he argued with an increasingly liberal and egalitarian society could handle it. The jury agreed.
