Best known for novels referred to as the "alphabet series" that began in 1982 with “A Is for Alibi. With the publication of her last book in August, Ms. Grafton’s alphabetical series had reached “Y Is for Yesterday.”
“She prohibited her novels from being made into movies or TV shows and she always wrote sole refusing to engage ghostwriters to assist with her books.
