Tuskegee Airman Wilfred DeFour DEAD @ 100

He served with the Tuskegee Airmen, in World War II.  One of the first African-American military aviators.  DeFour, was an aircraft technician who joined the Air Corps in 1942 and was assigned to the 366th Air Service Squadron.  His company trained in Tuskegee, Alabama, and served in Italy.  The U.S. Armed Forces remained racially segregated until after the war. 

DeFour worked as a Post Office employee for more than 30 years following his military service.  To honor his service to his country, he was recently present at a ceremony to rename a Manhattan post office after the Tuskegee Airmen.
