Saved 350 Jewish Children During WWII, Georges Loinger: DEAD @ 108

Many of the 350 Jewish children he helped saved had lost parents in Nazi concentration camps.

Born in 1910 and served with the French army in 1940.  He was taken prisoner by the Germans and sent to a prisoner of war camp.  His outward appearance, blond hair and blue eyes, the Germans did not suspect he was Jewish and was able to to escape the war camp and return to France.  Once free he joined the Oeuvre de Secours aux Enfants (OSE), a Jewish children's aid society.  Beginning in April of 1943 the group helped many hundreds of Jewish children escape to Switzerland.
