Script Writer Gloria Katz DEAD @ 76

Oscar-nominated screenwriter Gloria Katz, and her husband/partner, wrote scripts for American Graffiti and Star Wars, both films were George Lucas classics. They couple also penned the a notable screenplay for Steven Spielberg--Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

Katz's husband, Willard Huyck was also a director.  The couple wrote the scripts for many of those films including Lucky Lady, Messiah of Evil, French Postcards, Best Defense, and Howard the Duck.

A film that George Lucas wasn't enthused to make, American Graffiti, received an Oscar nomination for their work on the film.

Katz also served her industry by serving on the Writers Guild board and as an adviser at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
