Roy Clark DEAD @ 85
He was best known for appearing on the CBS television show Hee Haw and was a big country music star. The singer-guitarist co-hosted the long-running sketch/variety show which debuted in 1969 with Buck Owens.
Clark played banjo, mandolin, and guitar. He had 50 singles on the Billboard’s Hot Country songs chart starting in 1963 through 1984. That included nine top 10s and “Come Live with Me” which hit #1 in 1973. His success extended to nine top 10 country albums.
