Hugh McDowell, ELO Cellist, DEAD @ 65
Hugh McDowell was the cello player for many early Electric Light Orchestra live performances and performed on the band’s recordings throughout the mid-to-late ’70s.
McDowell played on the 1974 album, Eldorado and the 1975 follow-up, Face the Music as well as 1976’s A New World Record and 1978’s double-LP, Out of the Blue.
