Former Dodgers slugger Wally Moon DEAD @ 87

Famous for his 'Moon shots' helped team reach three World Series.  
The lefty had proven to be a consistent hitter while with the St. Louis Cardinals but after a soft season he was traded to the Dodgers in 1959.  
He was part of a very successful era for the Dodgers. Over time Moon was slowly pushed out of the Dodger starting lineup.  He called it quits in 1965, ending a 12-year career during after popping 142 home runs and was making it to the all-star team three times.  His last field appearance was in Game 7 of the 1965 World Series.
