Comedian Marty Allen DEAD @ 95

With a career that began in the 1950's, Allen's early appearances as an opening act were with partner Mitch DeWood for Sarah Vaughan, Eydie Gorme, and Nat King Cole. When that ended he formed Allen & Rossi with Steve Rossi.  This turned out to be very successful.  

Allen & Rossi released many hit comedy records and had more than 40 appearances of “The Ed Sullivan Show.” That partnership ending in 1968, but they would reunite through the 90's to perform.  Hi most famous Sullivan appearance was the show that included the debut appearance by "The Beatles."  

Allen made hundreds of television appearances In the ’70's and ’80's he made hundreds of TV appearances including serious roles and daytime television.  He was in “The Big Valley” as Waldo Diefendorfer and did the game show circuit too including “Hollywood Squares,” and “Password.”

His performing partner of 30 years and wife Karon Kate Blackwell at his side when he died.
