Oscar Winner Dorothy Malone DEAD @ 92

Well known for her roll as the star of the TV show 'Peyton Place' --  she played the matriarchal mother. 

Peyton Place was the first show on TV deal frankly with sex.  The show, aired for five seasons on ABC from 1964-69 — and as many as three times a week. 

Malone earned an Academy Award for 'Written on the Wind' and also had prominent roles in some major motion pictures of the time including 'The Big Sleep,' 'Man of a Thousand Faces' and 'Too Much, Too Soon.'
