Ella Brennan World-Famous New Orleans Restaurateur DEAD @ 92
She is credited with creating nouvelle Creole cuisine at her Commander’s Palace restaurant and was the matriarch of a New Orleans family that owns more than a dozen restaurants.
Brennan is known for her strategy of modernized menus and restaurant service at Commander’s Palace, her flagship, and helped launch the careers of such renowned chefs as Paul Prudhomme, Emeril Lagasse, Frank Brigtsen and Tory McPhail.
