Margot Kidder DEAD @ 69

Kidder achieved widespread fame for her role as Lois Lane in 1978’s “Superman” and three sequels that followed.  

She got her start in Canadian films and TV shows before landing a role in 1970’s “Quackser Fortune Has a Cousin in the Bronx” opposite Gene Wilder. Appearences followed in “1973’s “Sisters,” “The Great Waldo Pepper” with Robert Redford, and 1979’s “The Amityville Horror.”

Kidder was also an Emmy Award winner in 2015.  She won for performing in the children’s TV show “R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour.”

She suffered some career setbacks when she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder including a public nervous breakdown in 1996. 

In the 2000's she had guest roles on “Smallville,” “Brothers & Sisters,” and “The L Word,” plus she also acted on Broadway stage, in the 2002 production of “The Vagina Monologues.
