A Founder of the Black Panthers, Elbert Howard DEAD @ 80

Had a prominent role as the deputy minister of information.  He was often quoted when prominent party figures were in the news.  

He became a retail service manager later in his life, living in Memphis, where he also was involved in community programs.  He was a writer and a public speaker.  He also played jazz on the radio as a DJ in California.
