'Nashville' and 'Freaky Friday' Star Barbara Harris DEAD @ 83

She was a Tony Award-winning actress best known for her comic abilities on the the Broadway stage.  

In 1976 Barbara Harris played a mom on screen with Jodie Foster in the film "Freaky Friday," and that same year she starred in Alfred Hitchcock's final film, "Family Plot."
Robert Altman's  "Nashville" was Harris' best-known film, released in 1975.  She had a memorable performance of "It Don't Worry Me" after a violent scene at the end of the movie.  
She was an original member of the historic first cast of Chicago's Second City improvisational theater in 1959. Dozens of now-famous actors and comedians, got their start at the famous venue including Alan Arkin and John Belushi to Tina Fey and Stephen Colbert.
