Percussionist Laudir de Oliveira DEAD @ 77

A Rio de Janeiro native, de Oliveira was a percussionist in Brazil, working with Sergio Mendes and Marcos Valle. In 1968 he moved to the United States in 1968 and was discovered by rock musicians and producers alike. He played percussion on the hit song “Feelin’ Allright” on Joe Cocker’s debut album.  Chicago then included him on the "Chicago VI" album and again on "Chicago VII."  He then became a permanent member of the group.
